Walemavu self help group focuses to work with disables at the grass root level where other organizations have been unable to reach due to various factors that have made existing organization not to reach the grassroots level.

Walemavu is not a politically or religious affiliated organization   we work together in peace, love and unity to spearhead the fight to see the rights of the disable people are respected in the society.

Walemavu focuses to work with both locally and international organizations that are fighting for the rights of disable people be it in social or economical.

We believe and strongly uphold the fact that disability rights are human rights, there cannot be development in any country if persons with disabilities are still placed on the periphery of the mainstream development processes.

History

Today Walemavu is well known in Mombasa and some of its success can be seen by both the disable and the able bodied people.
